Emirates Airline's 20th anniversary commemorated by IATA

Airline's 20th anniversary of operations was commemorated by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), with the presentation of a special plaque to its Chairman, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum.
"This presentation comes from IATA in recognition of Emirates' twenty years of dedicated service to international air transport," Dr Sabri said. "We congratulate Emirates on its great successes in various fields and wish them progress and prosperity for many years to come."
IATA represents 265 airlines comprising 94 per cent of international scheduled air traffic.
Sheikh Ahmed said: "Emirates has worked closely with IATA since beginning operations in 1985. We are honoured to receive this plaque in commemoration of our 20th anniversary."
