H.E. Mr. Mohammed Ghanim Al Ghaith, the Director General of GCAA handing over the Air Operator Certificate to Mr. Tariq Khan, Business Group Director and Capt. Hamayoun Ashraf, Opereations Director of Eastern SkyJets.
In presenting the Certificate to Mr. Tariq Khan, Business Group Director of Eastern SkyJets, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ghanim Al Ghaith, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) praised the approach and professionalism demonstrated by the company in securing their long-standing goals to operate in this region.

H.E described Eastern SkyJets as a competent operator who have proved themselves capable of meeting the extensive technical and operational criteria required by the GCAA as well as having the appropriate infrastructure and organization committed to a safe Air Charter Service.

Operating in Dubai since early 2004 using a fleet of corporate and passenger aircraft, Eastern SkyJets has gained a reputation for its 'fresh-approach' to the regions aircraft charter market with a belief that travel by private jet should not be just the preserve of the rich and famous. "We have always taken a keen interest in this region and its future economic welfare, particularly the opportunities posed in the aviation sector." said Tariq Khan. "Our philosophy is founded on offering our customers a hands-on personal approach that is cost-effective, responsive and combines innovative thinking with a can-do attitude."

Tariq Khan also states that the introduction of a range of leisure services by private jet has also received an enthusiastic response from the regions leisure industry where tourism is booming beyond imagination.

Looking forward, Eastern SkyJets' plans are firmly aimed at adding a range of corporate aircraft to expand its CIP (Corporate Important Person), Leisure, and Medevac business streams. Senior officials from the company have been evaluating prospective aircraft at the recent Dubai Airshow where Eastern SkyJets officially launched its presence into the region. The company also plans to introduce additional aircraft to supplement its DC-9 for regional passenger operations.
