Food Expo 2005 attracts international exhibitors

An impressive list of international exhibitors will showcase their high-quality products and equipment at Food Expo 2005, which is scheduled at the Oman International Exhibition Centre on December 5-7.
The international exhibitors that have already confirmed their participation include those from the UAE, Germany, Italy, Kuwait, Thailand, Pakistan, and India, and among them are globally known brands such as Desmon, Olis, and Reiber. Among the products they will display are catering equipment, packaging machinery and supplies, refrigeration systems, kitchenware, and food products ranging from tuna, rice and chocolates to sugar, fruit jams and honey.
Brunei Darussalam will have a strong presence in the exhibition with a total of eight companies offering halal meat products, canned goods, chili sauces and spices as well as snack foods such as prawn crackers, cookies and chips.
Loucania, a company from Portugal, will also be at Food Expo 2005 to present its range of high-quality porcelain tableware products for the food service sector. In addition, it will introduce for the first time in the sultanate the ICEL brand of stainless steel kitchen knives, spatulas, and cleavers, which are highly suited both for domestic and professional use.
Another international exhibitor, Kogust Grosuplje d.d. from Slovenia, will showcase its range of catering and kitchen equipments, which are noted for being user-friendly, highly reliable and energy-efficient. The company also manufactures custom-made equipment based on the special requirements of customers.
Food Expo 2005 will also feature many other international companies that have representatives here in Oman. AKAH Najwani & Partners LLC, which is the major sponsor of the event, will exhibit catering and kitchen equipment from major brands around the world. The Dubai-based Zainal Baqer Mohebi LLC will likewise display products from Sweden, Belgium, the UK, and US. Other local exhibitors will impress visitors with products and equipment from other countries including Finland, Japan, and Spain.
