As a UAE-based institution which is driving the discussion in fields as diverse as education, engineering, built environment and information technology, BUiD is rapidly making its mark on the region's educational landscape and receiving inquiries from rising numbers of potential students.

An open day at the Crowne Plaza, Abu Dhabi, on Sunday will offer people the chance to sit with some of BUiD's experts to discuss how enrolling at the University could provide a major boost for their future career opportunities.

This will be followed by a public lecture at the same venue, where the head of BUiD's Institute of Engineering, Dr. Mohammed Dulaimi, will look at the role the construction industry plays in driving the expansion of the knowledge economy, through its impact on other industries.

"Construction and development play a major role in the region's economy, and also stimulate creativity in a range of other industries. One of the areas we will be examining in the lecture will be how changes in construction project procurement is creating a step change in the whole development sector,"
said Dr. Dulaimi.

Prospective students will also be able to find out more about BUiD and the programmes on offer directly at its Knowledge Village campus in Dubai between 09:00 and 17:00 Saturday to Thursday.
