'The project involves automating 101 services in 27 departments within the Ministry and the Doha Municipality, including the departments of planning management, buildings, engineering, lands, health, project and roads among others, and each of these departments will have at least four online services," Al Kaabi added.
The project will be implemented using Oracle solutions such as Oracle Internet Application Server 10g and Oracle Database Server 10g.
"We chose Raya to implement this project because of their understanding of the Ministry's requirements and their unique vision for the project, in addition to the extensive experience in implementing projects of a similar nature. Raya has successfully provided integrated solutions to governments and private sector companies alike. Before finalizing the award of the contract, we had conducted a technical evaluation and found that Raya was well ahead of other shortlisted companies on all parameters. Moreover, they presented a detailed work plan for the project. This convinced us of their ability to efficiently implement the project," Al Kaabi said.
Ali Sakr, General Manager, Raya Gulf, said,
"One of the most significant challenges we faced in procuring this contract was to give a clear, detailed work plan that accurately defines the different phases of the project's implementation. In this context, Raya's proven track record in implementing similar projects in many Gulf countries worked to our advantage. The Ministry's decision to partner with Raya reflects the noticeable success we have achieved in implementing large-scale projects, particularly those involving automation of citizen services."
