Catering equipment suppliers in full force at Food Expo 2005

The exhibition, which will end on December 7, also features local and international food manufacturers, packaging firms, agricultural companies, poultry farms as well as companies offering refrigeration systems, cleaning products, food service equipment, and all kinds of supplies for hotels and restaurants.

said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading event management and exhibition organising company in the sultanate.

He pointed out that the food industry in Oman is at par with the rest of the world when it comes to technology, expertise, and equipment. He explained that one clear indication of this is the availability of high-quality products and globally known brands for the sultanate's food catering sector.

Currently on display at Food Expo 2005 are the innovative equipment developed by major companies such as Olis (Italy), Reiber (Germany), and Desmon (Italy). All three are represented in the sultanate by Abdul Khalik Abdullah Habib Najwani & Partners LLC, which is the major sponsor of the exhibition.

Other catering equipment suppliers at Food Expo 2005 include Kogast Grosuplje of Slovenia, the Sharjah-based Paramount Trading Establishment, Al Halabi Refrigeration & Steel LLC of Dubai, and a number of local companies including Genetco, Sharika Fanniya Omaniya, and Shah Nagardas Manji & Co. LLC. Most of these companies have the capability to deliver custom-built catering equipment based on the individual requirements of their clients.

In addition to catering and kitchen equipment, Paul stressed that many other products related to food are showcased at the exhibition, which is open to trade visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and then to trade visitors and the general public from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
