Bahrain to host the first aluminium & metal exhibition

The Kingdom of Bahrain is preparing to host the first ALUMINIUM MIDDLE EAST concurrently with the METAL MIDDLE EAST 2005, a specialised exhibition commencing from the 5th to the 7th of December 2005 at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.
The Gulf region and the Middle East economies are ready for a regional industrial transformation which has already begun with the Metal and Aluminum industry. At present, the region faces grave challenges due to the hot and dry climate heightened by the lack of know-how, primary materials as well as the shortage of industrial water and utilities. Thus, these two exhibitions could be the platform for the international business communities to come together to showcase their products, services and expertise.
This specialised exhibition, the first of its kind is designed to highlight Bahrain's potential in the development of metal and aluminum industries and to further develop its role as a business centre and gateway to the Middle East and Western Asia. It will highlight the favorable economic climate which has created an immense opportunity for the metalworking industries, especially in the construction, heavy equipment, transport sectors, gas, oil and petrochemical industrials and the overall infrastructural growth.

To complement the world-class technical meeting, along with the exhibition the organisers have also planned an industry forum, seminars and workshops which will touch upon topical subjects with participation by international experts with the focus on latest developments in metal technology and investment opportunities.
An additional highlight is APPA 2005, the International Conference on Advances in Production and Processing of Aluminium which is organised by the University of Bahrain.
The exhibition will promote and disseminate information on latest development in the field of metal and aluminum engineering. The main purpose of the exhibition is to showcase latest tools in metal engineering from around the world to satisfy the growing demand of the regional.
Exhibitors and visitors alike will have the opportunity to keep up-to-date with the latest and best in the metal and aluminum industry. Simultaneously they can enjoy great range of leisure, entertainment options and to explore one of the region's most modern, hospitable and evolving countries.
The exhibition will remain open daily from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Admission is free for all conference delegates, genuine trade visitors and invited guest.
