Epson has launched four new products for high-quality entertainment - the EMP-TW600, EMP-TW520, EMP-TW20 and the EMP-TWD1 - in the Middle East.

The new range features Epson's innovative projector technologies including 3LCD to provide superior image quality. The dedicated stylish design and 16:9 format means Epson's new range creates a true home cinema experience that is easy to use and will look great in any living room.

The EMP-TW600 and EMP-TW520 are at the top of Epson's home cinema range, designed for enthusiasts who demand the best. The EMP-TW20 is Epson's latest entry-level, cost-effective projector, enabling the user to share the home cinema experience. Finally, for those who want the total package the EMP-TWD1 combines a feature-packed projector with DVD player and speakers from JVC.

The EMP-TW600 features a W-XGA resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) and HDMI input which gives an accurate display of High Definition content. Superior image quality is ensured with 5000:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 1600 ANSI lumens. The EMP-TW600 can also connect to a range of sources, using HDMI, video, YUV, S-Video, RGB and SCART. The EMP-TW520 also offers W-XGA resolution, is HD Ready and offers a contrast ratio of 4000:1 and brightness of 1400 ANSI lumens.

Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East said,

"The EMP-TW600 and EMP-TW520 will appeal to those who expect the very best from their home cinema. The images are sharp, vibrant and realistic enough to make the users feel like they are part of the movie with their favourite actors."

Epson's latest entry-level projector, the EMP-TW20 has been especially designed for the home and comes with the features one would expect from Epson. A 16:9 aspect ratio and connectivity through video, S-Video, YUV and RGB means the users can watch their favourite movies or catch all the sporting action on the big screen. Offering 1200 ANSI Lumens, the EMP-TW20 is the brightest home cinema projector in its category. A high contrast ratio of 1000:1 means that image quality is bright, clear and vibrant.

"The new EMP-TW20 will enable Epson to further strengthen its success in the home cinema market. This product is feature packed and offers customers great value for money, making home cinema accessible to all," El-Dalu added.

Epson's new EMP-TWD1 brings together the renowned projector experience of Epson with the superior audio and DVD capabilities of JVC. One needs to simply plug it in, insert a favourite DVD, sit back and enjoy the show. Featuring Epson technology including 3LCD, E-TORL along with 1200 ANSI Lumens and 480 pixel resolution, the EMP-TWD1 guarantees bright, vibrant pictures. As an integrated home entertainment solution, the EMP-TWD1 is also very easy to set up and store, and can be placed on anything from a coffee table to a stool.

El Dalu pointed out, "The Epson EMP-TWD1 will meet the needs of both families and young professionals who want to create the big screen experience in their own home. It is perfect for enjoying blockbuster movies, playing computer games, creating a slideshow of your photos or even just listening to music."

Combining ease of use and style, the new Epson range is light, compact, easy to carry and will enhance any home interior. The EMP-TW600, EMP-TW520, EMP-TW20 and EMP-TWD1 all feature the Epson 3LCD and E-TORL technology for brighter images, more accurate colour reproduction and finer grey scaling. Each projector can produce a 60" screen from a distance of only 1.5 metres, so there is no need for a large space. The innovative Epson Cinema Filter technology results in a high quality image whatever the ambience and lighting of the room.

The horizontal and vertical lens shift allows the projector to be used in any room, even where it cannot be positioned centrally towards the screen. The lens can be shifted 50 per cent up and down, as well as 25 per cent left and right, so that the projector can be placed in a range of positions, for example, off centre, on a high table or on a low shelf.

El-Dalu said, "The new home cinema and home entertainment range from Epson caters to everyone's needs. While each product offers its own unique features, they all come with Epson's superior technology, are extremely user-friendly and should sell well in the Middle East's techno-savvy, cosmopolitan society. Epson's offering demonstrates its commitment to providing accessibility for all."
