New General Manager appointed at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh
- Saudi Arabia: Wednesday, December 07 - 2005 at 14:36
- PRESS RELEASE
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Thomas Lind as General Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh.
Lind, who describes himself as 'more international than Scandinavian' graduated from Rosemont College Pennsylvania with a BSc Honours in Management and has spent much of his professional career with luxury hotels in the Americas. He has managed some of the world's finest properties in countries including The Dominican Republic and Venezuela. He comes to Riyadh with this philosophy: "The ultimate luxury experience is to receive personalised care and have requests tended to effortlessly and quietly." Passionate about a flawless service experience for guests, he says: "Regardless of how beautiful a physical facility may be, elegance without warmth and respect from its employees is simply arrogance."
Moving to the Middle East and Riyadh is 'a wonderful experience' for Lind and his family - wife Catherine and four children. "I believe that exposing children to new cultures and languages only prepares them for this ever-shrinking world," he says. "We're all looking forward to discovering not only a new country but a new way of life." Fluent in English and Spanish, he is also looking forward to learning Arabic.
The 249-room Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh, within the distinctive Kingdom Centre complex, opened in February 2003. With a wide range of amenities for guests including a full service Spa, recreation facilities and a range of gourmet restaurants, the Hotel also boasts one of the largest wedding halls in the region as well as extensive meeting and function space.
