The Third UAE Trade Expo launched in India

The Third UAE Trade Exhibition was inaugurated yesterday at Nehru Center in Mumbai, India, with participation of more than 50 exhibitors from the UAE including trading organizations from the government and private sectors.
The inauguration was attended by H.E. Mohammed Rahma Al-Mazruee, Charge d'affaires of the UAE to India, H.E. Y. P. Trevendi, Chairman of Board of Directors for the Arab-Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Sultan Lootah, Acting Director of Business Promotion Department of DCCI, Dr. Mahmood Al-Banaa of JAFZA, Mr. Khalid Bin Nassar, External Promotion Officer of Tourism and Commercial Marketing, Mr. Abdurrahman Falaknaz, Chairman of International Expo Consultants, the expo organizers, and a number of Indian officials and businessmen, as well as reporters and journalists.
Mr. Sultan Lootah said that the Third UAE Expo in India aims at enhancing and developing trading ties between the two countries, and creating new mutual investment opportunities with regards to the importance of trade, which is considered one of the essential fundamentals in the UAE-Indian relationship, as India is the UAE's biggest economic partner.
He added that the non oil trade agreement between India and Dubai had witnessed a tremendous prosperity in 2004 where it reached up to AED 32.3 Billion (U$.8.6 billion), stressing that the exhibition in its third session aims at opening the doors for companies interested in entering the Indian market.
The number of companies and institutions participatind in this exhibitions reflects the importance of this economic event, which contributes to creating potential investment opportunities and attracts foreign investments. He also stressed that the UAE is considered the 6th prime source for commodities and services to India.
Mr. Trevendi said that the UAE Indian trade volume is estimated at $8billion, that reflects the significance of the mutual trading exchange between the two countries.
