The successful BUiD students will be nationals from Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar or the UAE, ensuring that the investment will benefit the region and contribute to the growing knowledge-based economy.
Hyder Consulting has a proven track record in the Middle East, the company was Lead Consultant on the 350m-high Emirates Towers hotel and office complex in Dubai, is currently the Architect of Record for the world's tallest building - the Burj Dubai Tower and has planned and designed substantial transport and utility infrastructure throughout the region.

It gives the company a first-class opportunity to contribute towards the development of the best project managers and environmental designers who will help shape the region with sustainable development for future generations," said Rod Stewart, Regional Managing Director, Hyder Consulting Middle East.
Hyder Consulting's funding represents 50 percent of the contribution to the two scholarships, and signals the start of a new relationship with BUiD which will see Hyder provide the university with industry links, research and training.
