"The excitement is building up," said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo, the company organising the event. "After months of waiting, Women Expo is just a few days away, and everyone is raring to be part of Oman's first-ever exclusive exhibition for women."

Paul pointed out that the strong interest in Women Expo 2005 is evident in the large number of companies and organizations that have confirmed their participation in the event.

Among those expected to have a major presence at the exhibition are Muscat Pharmacy & Stores LLC, Toys R Us, Avon, Damas, The Patisserie, and A'Saffa Poultry Farms. As an indication of the growing importance accorded to women's health, Women Expo 2005 will also feature health institutions including Muscat Private Hospital, Elixer Health Centre, and the Chinese Medical Clinic.

Paul stressed that the event will also showcase the educational opportunities and career choices available to women with the participation of Mazoon College, the British Training Institute, Oman Medical College, and the U.S. Embassy. In addition, there will be other exhibitors displaying various types of perfumes and cosmetics, shoes and handbags, jewelries, and childcare products.

Besides presenting a wide range of products and services for women, Women Expo 2005 will also have daily seminars covering such topics as professional skills development, entrepreneurship in women, and women's health issues. Paul added that a variety of activities including cooking and beauty product demonstrations will also be held on all days of the event.

Women Expo 2005 is supported by the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Sports Affairs, the Public Authority for Craft Industries, the Omani Women Association in Seeb, and the National Association for Cancer Awareness.
