Sony brings its total HD expertise to DIFF 2005

For the first time in the Middle East, Sony introduces the world's highest resolution projector- the SONY SRX-R110. This is based on Sony's revolutionary SXRD™ (Silicon Crystal Reflective Display) panel technology. The new projectors deliver rich and precise colour tonal representation, with a brightness of 10,000 ANSI lumens and an incredible 2000:1 contrast ratio. This projector will be installed in the Madinat Souq Theatre during DIFF 2005. In addition to the projector, Sony extends its High Definition production equipment to DIFF and this includes the High Definition Video Cameras, recording systems etc.

The second Dubai International Film Festival will be held between December 11 and 17, 2005, and will feature 98 films including features, retrospectives and short films. DIFF 2005 is divided into 12 distinct programs - including five brand new sections - each focusing on a particular category of film.

The Festival is presented by its Founding Sponsors Dubai Duty Free, Dubai Properties, Emirates, Etisalat and the Madinat Jumeirah - the Arabian Resort.
