- PRESS RELEASE
Heidelberg, the world renowned print media solutions provider, is showcasing a range of state-of-the-art printing systems and technologies at Gulf Print 2005, the region's most prestigious print event that opened on December 11 at the Dubai Airport Expo.
Heidelberg has created an impressive stand for this year's show including an upper deck for one-to-one meetings with the clients. The stand is strategically located at the main entrance of the East Hall (B-10) of Dubai Airport Expo.
The state-of-the-art equipment on display includes the four-colour Speedmaster SM 52, which is a highly automated press for top quality in the 35 x 50 cm range for commercial printing, and will demonstrate the highest standards in printing. Speedmaster SM 52 is capable of handling a stock range of 0.03 - 0.4 mm (up to 0.6mm) with a maximum speed of 15,000 sheets per hour.
Together with the newest products for Computer to Plate, the Prinect, a seamless workflow management system from Heidelberg, enables digital networking for the entire production workflow such as prepress, printing and finishing. It is the world's first software suite for the print media industry.
A salient feature at the Heidelberg stand this year are the machines that are essential for the finishing stages of the printing process, which have been brought to Dubai through Heidelberg's strategic alliance with Italian company, Fidia.
Fidia is displaying the Combi Unica and the Combi Estro machines while representatives from the Italian company are also present throughout the exhibition.
