The three-day interactive event will take place at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) on 12 - 14 December from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the morning and then from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the afternoon.

The Expo targets Bahraini secondary students, vocational students, jobseekers, parents and the community, and aims to increase Bahraini student and jobseeker understanding of the professional world.

About 150 companies from various sectors will be participating at the Expo, which expects around fifteen thousand attendees. The Expo, which has been held annually for the past seven years, is a non-profit, voluntary, community effort jointly organized by the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Education Ministry and the Specific Councils for Vocational Training.

The afternoon sessions of Career Expo will be open to the public, while the morning sessions are reserved for female high school students on 12-13, December 2005, and then reserved for male high school students on the 14th December 2005. As well, during the afternoon sessions, the very successful Quiz show, an interactive competition first introduced last year, will be taking place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM each day, thanks to the sponsorship and support of Gulf University.

Students and Jobseekers have been gearing up for the Expo via several Career-oriented activities since July. Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) and Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), who happen to be platinum sponsors, played warm and educative host to two sets of students in July. Shortly after on July 19, 2005, several students made a guided, educational visit to Kuwait Finance House, Bahrain National Bank and HSBC bank. Several prestigious institutions and companies such as those mentioned will participate in Career Expo 2005.

The Sponsors for this year's event are: Platinum: Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) and Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), Gold: Unicorn Bank and Gulf University, Silver: Gulf International Bank (GIB), Ebraihim Khalil Kanoo, JGC, Ernst & Young, Al Hamad Construction & Development Co., Bronze: The Regency Intercontinental Hotel Bahrain, GPIC, BDO Jawad Habib, Bahrain Duty Free, Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC), Garmco, Jawad Business Group, Bahrain Optician and Baisan Institute of Hospitality Management.

Please note that Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) will provide free transportation to and from the BIEC, for job seekers who are willing to visit the job fair.
