The region's number one telecommunications company, STC set to take Jeddah Commtel 2005 by storm

Saudi Telecom Communications (STC) will be taking part in this years Commtel 2005 telecommunications show in Jeddah , which is being held in Al Harithi Exhibition Center from the 12th of December until the 16th of December 2005.

STC will be showing off its newest technology and services, visitors will have the chance to see the latest products including the new 3G service due to launch in early 2006. It is expected that number of visitors to this long established event will exceed 100,000 and with such a huge turnout STC is expecting to see everyone from businessmen to CEO's and consumers on its stand...the biggest one at the show.

Commenting on the exhibition, STC's General Manager, Mr. Saad Dhafer Al Qanhtani says

"Our participation in exhibitions like Commtel shows our strong commitment to developing and enlarging the business in the KSA. These events allow us to offer our latest services and technologies to the savvy Saudi consumers enabling them to enhance their dynamic lifestyles."


He adds, "this is our last exhibition participation for the year 2005 to end a successful roadshow chain that started in Gitex Riyadh "

The eye-catching, Hi-Tech Hi-Spec innovative stand will be a showcase for the company's services. The main attraction will be its 21st century dome whereby visitors will be treated to a sight and sound show and in a matter of minutes capture the essence of STC's services and take them on a historical journey of STC from its early beginnings.

...And that's not all the 850 SQM stand has to offer visitors. They will be able to see all the services first hand including: Saudi Data, which has a wide range of products from high speed Internet solutions for businesses and consumer alike. During Commtel, STC will be offering free Internet access and Wi Fi giving everyone the chance to browse the Internet or send an email to friends and family. The team will be demonstrating its customer focused website and the 'My Services' portal has been specially developed to fulfill customers needs online. It has everything from bill management and payment to sending an SMS to any mobile phone around the world. The Al Hatif team, STC's landline service with the biggest network infrastructure in the region will be on hand to show off its latest developments.

Since entering the mobile communications market in 1998 with the Al Jawal offering which has grown hugely over the years and has gone from strength to strength to make it the number one provider in the region. Visitors to Commtel 2005 will have the chance to try out the new 3G services, which will be available to all customers from launch including: live news, mobile entertainment and video calling and conferencing. Al Jawal is definitely leading the way in the field of mobile communication proving STC's market position as the regional leader and a global player.
