"Nortel is the clear communications leader in the Middle East's hospitality industry and already works with the vast majority of the UAE's hotels. These events are designed to show solutions that help hotels address their most strategic priorities: expand their services, improve their guest loyalty and bolster profitability,"
said Ramin Attari, Vice President Middle East, Nortel.
Among the technologies being demonstrated are, guest access to personalized information and control of their environment from the guest room intuitive touch-screen IP phone, wireless voice over IP, which supports total communications across the hotel premises and replaces staff bulky and limited walkie talkies, IP telephony systems and converged network solution that support data and multimedia communications across the hotel.
Nortel is to be joined in the sessions, being held on the 12th, 13th and 14th December, by partners Citrix and Datapulse. "Citrix' and Datapulse's solutions complement Nortel's multimedia communications and converged infrastructure, with strong applications designed to add value to the hospitality industry," said Attari.
Nortel's advanced wireless Voice over IP and converged network solutions have already found a home in Dubai, with the Al Habtoor group implementing the technology to underpin faster, more responsive customer service and staff resourcing. "There's no doubt that these new solutions are transforming the way hoteliers can communicate with and serve their guests. We're showing them how at these sessions," said Attari.
