Sony debuts its first touch panel Cyber-shot N1 for fun picture sharing

The DSC-N1 is equipped with 8.1 Mega-pixel resolution and Carl Zeiss® Vario-Tessar lens to deliver the utmost in picture perfection every time. This camera is the first Cyber-shot that employs touch panel operations through the 3-inch LCD touch panel, the largest display for a compact camera in the market.

This unique camera is armed with a robust internal memory that enables the trigger-happy and ebullient user to store up to 500 still images in VGA format in Pocket Album. With the Paint function in Cyber-shot N1, one can personalize the images with drawings and templates. Sharing of these images will even be more memorable by viewing them on a slideshow accompanied by background music.

Greater Control with 3-inch LCD touch panel
The intelligent and user-friendly touch panel enables users to navigate through various functions such as playback, stop and forward or rewind operations with ease. The large-sized 3-inch LCD touch panel in "Clear Photo LCD plus" with 230K dots pixel provides excellent images with great detail. The LCD surface is coated with an anti-reflective layer that renders perfect clarity to images even under challenging outdoor or indoor lighting conditions.

Discover joy of sharing with Pocket AlbumThe stored images are shown in thumbnails in Pocket Album and can be sorted by date or year so you can access them easily. Users can jazz up the slideshows by adding 4 effects (simple, nostalgic, stylish and active) and 4 different pre-installed melodies. You can import your own music files to further personalize your slideshow experience with the supplied Picture Package. Users can download up to 4 music files and each one of them can be long as 180 seconds. These music files can be easily saved from a PC in MP3 format or from CDs.

Unique After-shoot Features

Besides adding music to movie clips or create slide shows, you can also write texts, stamp and trace shapes onto your images with the Paint function. For more adventurous underwater pursuits, the DSC- N1 also comes with an optional marine pack for the dive enthusiasts.
