The five-year renewable carriage deal ensures continuity of programming across key segments as demanded by Orbit's subscribers, says Khulud Abu-Homos, Orbit's Senior Vice President of Western Programming and Creative Services.
"The significance of this deal is that it demonstrates a powerful harmonisation between two leaders - a leading studio and a leading Pay TV Service - and it takes the offering right to the television sets of the millions of Orbit subscribers across the Middle East and North Africa,"
said Mrs Abu-Homos.
"The variety and appeal of the programmes offered by these four channels is clear demonstration of our commitment to providing the very best in family entertainment and to ensuring the provision of content that is informative, enjoyable and which encompasses all age brackets of our viewing audiences," she added.
"Turner channels are global leaders and their quality and appeal have a natural home in the Middle East. This renewable carriage deal with Orbit reflects both the solid market demand for our channels in the region - a key business market for Turner Broadcasting System - and underscores Orbit's commitment and its intent to delivering par excellence," added Ron Ciccone, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Middle East at Turner Broadcasting System.
Mega, Prime, Alfa and Kids package subscribers across the Middle East and North Africa can enjoy some or all of these channels depending on their package.
