Microsoft Business Solutions consolidates management

Microsoft Business Solutions, a division of Microsoft Corporation, today announced the appointment of Chris Harris as its regional director for Middle East and Africa, effective immediately.
"The complementary strengths of Microsoft Business Solutions and Navision help more customers realize their potential through technology and build on our deep heritage and commitment to partners," said René Stockner, director, EMEA sales and marketing, Microsoft Business Solutions.
"Chris' extensive experience in working with customers and partners, coupled with his outstanding leadership skills, will help us deliver on our shared vision of providing high-value, innovative solutions to our partners and customers," added Stockner.
Harris joined Microsoft Business Solutions in September 1996 and most recently served as Microsoft Great Plains Business Solutions regional director for Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia.
Microsoft Business Solutions is led by Doug Burgum, senior vice president of Microsoft, and former chairman and CEO of Great Plains.
Navision co-CEOs Jesper Balser and Preben Damgaard will remain with Microsoft Business Solutions. Balser will be director of Global Strategy, and Damgaard will be director of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Operations.
The EMEA operations will be based out of Navision's corporate headquarters in Vedbaek, Denmark.
