Microsoft Business Solutions consolidates management

Harris has responsibility for all sales and marketing activity in the Middle East and Africa, including those responsibilities which relate to Navision a/s - a global provider of integrated business solutions for mid-market customers - which was recently acquired by Microsoft, and has become part of Microsoft Business Solutions.

Harris joined Microsoft Business Solutions in September 1996 and most recently served as Microsoft Great Plains Business Solutions regional director for Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia.

Microsoft Business Solutions is led by Doug Burgum, senior vice president of Microsoft, and former chairman and CEO of Great Plains.

Navision co-CEOs Jesper Balser and Preben Damgaard will remain with Microsoft Business Solutions. Balser will be director of Global Strategy, and Damgaard will be director of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Operations.

The EMEA operations will be based out of Navision's corporate headquarters in Vedbaek, Denmark.
