Dubai-based Al Kaitoob Building Contracting had been entrusted with the responsibility of constructing this plush and impressive four-storied Armada Group headquarters. An AED 16.5 -million contract for the construction, including the piling works, had earlier been awarded to Al Kaitoob.
Dr. Mohammed Raheef Hakmi, Chairman, Armada Group, said:
"Our group headquarters at the DIC will have a total office floor space of 110,000 square feet, incorporating the latest architecture with all the modern amenities. An effective designing and the strategic location for the headquarters will place us ideally to meet the increasing needs of our group's future growth opportunities. With our prestigious AED1 billion Armada Towers project coming up at the Jumeirah Lake Towers, in the heart of new down-town Dubai, we feel our move to DIC is only warranted."
Mr. Kamal Husni Khawaja managing director of Al Kaitoob said: "With the successful completion of the piling works, construction has started on Armada's prestigious headquarters building. Al Kaitoob Building Contracting has the expertise and state-of-the-art technology to undertake such an enterprise. We are privileged to play our part in Armada's relocation to an up-market destination like the DIC."
The new headquarters for Armada group at the heart of Dubai Internet City is expected to be ready within a year. The agreement between both parties stipulates a 50-year leasing clause, which is considered to be a model contract for any leading UAE investment organization, like the Armada Group, who might wish to secure any future tenancy agreements with DIC.
With this the company will move closer to its massive AED1 billion Armada Towers project at the Jumeirah Lake Towers. The move will also enable the company to provide enhanced service to the sprawling New Dubai area.
