- United Arab Emirates: Monday, December 19 - 2005 at 14:05
- PRESS RELEASE
A delegation from Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) participated recently at the Essen Motor Show, which was held during November 25-December 4, 2005.
"We expect that MTS Abu Dhabi 2006, will cover over 14500 square metres of exhibition space and feature 35 of the world's leading car manufacturers and car tuning companies. More than 100 companies dealing in tuning or customizing accessories are also expected to take part," said Humaid Matar Salim Al Dhaheri, who led the MTS Abu Dhabi 2006 delegation to the show.
MTS 2006, to be held 23 - 27 April, 2006, is being jointly organized by ADNEC and Messe Essen. The event is supported by VDAT e.V., the German Association for Automobile Tuners.
"Germany is the world's biggest car tuning market with more than AED 18.92 billion in annual revenues and the German tuning industry sees MTS 2006 as a welcome opportunity to expand into the Middle East. ", added Al Dhaheri.
Al Dhaheri delivered a speech during the World Wide Tuning Organization (WWTO) conference in which he expressed ADNEC's gratitude for being made a founding member of the organization. This marks it as the first organization from an Arab country to gain this honor.
The purpose of the WWTO is to represent the interests of car tuners all over the world who are engaged in reputable and, above all, safe tuning techniques. The WWTO's agenda also includes consumer protection backed up by high quality and safety standards.
"We are pleased to have ADNEC as a founding member of the WWTO. We believe ADNEC's leadership role will be critical to the future growth of the association's activities particularly in the Middle East with the region experiencing a rapid growth in interest for tuning. The formation of the WWTO in advance of the MTS 2006 and the enrolment of ADNEC as a founding member will provide an added impetus to the show and significantly enhance the credibility of the event," said Bodo Buschmann, President of WWTO.
MTS 2006 will have an exciting programme of events including an exhibition of Car Tuning & Performance, Custom-Made Premier Cars, High performance Cars, Sports & Limited Editions, Classic Cars, Motorcycles and Motor & Lifestyle Accessories from the world's leading brands. MTS 2006 will be the region's first ever show dedicated to tuning and motor sports. The show will bring together the world's leading automobile manufacturers and motor tuning companies who will present the latest sports cars and high-performance cars, 4x4s and motorcycles, as well as products and services addressing this market segment.
The highlight of the event is a dedicated 'Action Spot' which will feature live parades of the latest, high-quality tuned cars and motorcycles. Quad races, 4x4 races and test drives will be added attractions for visitors.
