- PRESS RELEASE
Dubai Business Women Council unveiled its new logo during the GCC National Branding Strategies Summit held on 17-18 December, 2005 at the Burj Al Arab.
Mrs. Raja Easa Al Gurg continued by saying, "The council is a link between the private and government sector and it plays an effective role in acting as mediator between officials and businesswomen."
Since its inception, the DBWC has spared no effort in introducing the right kind of investment opportunities to its members and has encouraged them to meet their counterparts within the Emirates and internationally.
Emphasizing this point, Mrs. Raja said, "When the Council was established, we pledged to develop it and ensure that it fulfills the needs of every businesswoman in all possible ways. We have been able to achieve this goal through faith, strong will and knowledge. We have also been inspired by generations of women before us who have shown us the path with their experiences in this field."
Mrs. Raja also said that, "Over the years we have witnessed an increase in the number of members in the Council. This proves the need for the Council in Dubai, and how its existence is a win-win situation for all businesswomen who are united under its roof. The Council's main concern is to develop the businesswomen's work and help her advance. The Council, also, actively contributes to the economical growth of the country."
Mrs. Raja also explained how the launch of the new logo was the beginning of a new chapter for DBWC. "We believe in continuous progress and the positive effect it has on the expansion of our businesses."
Mrs. Raja assured the attendees that the Council will continue working hard to achieve its goals and will elevate the role of women within the business community.
She also used the occasion to extend an invitation to all businesswomen to send in their suggestions about the services the Council is providing to its members, so they can be improved upon.
In the end she thanked all workers in DCCI, especially its chairman Mr. Obeid Al Tayer and its director general Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Mutaiwee for their support to the Dubai Business Women Council. She also thanked all those who have helped the council over the years.
