In January AIESEC will start its activities in both countries with the help of local universities and companies.

AIESEC is a leading platform for young people to develop and discover their potential to have a positive impact in society. Towards this aim, AIESEC runs more than 350 conferences, provides 3,500 work abroad opportunities, and offers over 5,000 leadership positions to its members each year. Together with a focus on building personal networks and exploring the direction and ambition of their future, AIESEC has an innovative approach to engaging and developing young people.

President AIESEC International, Brodie Boland says "AIESEC is at an interesting stage. We are in the process of implementing the change process and the organisation has never been more stable with its internal processes. And I think it's time AIESEC once again reaches out to the rest of the world where we are not present and provide the youth in those countries with the opportunities AIESEC offers. This not only will allow our members more opportunities to learn about the world's issues, but it also makes AIESEC more relevant by bridging the real communication gap between the western world and the Middle East."

Every year more than 3500 young students and recent graduates have a work experience abroad through AIESEC. It attracts and cultivates young people with global mindsets while giving organizations an incredible opportunity to access young carefully selected talent from all corners of the globe. AIESEC partners with a wide variety of organizations, from multinational to small business, non-profit to government and the UN.

"The most important corporate resource over the next years will be talent, it will also be the resource in shortest supply. There is a need to invest in attracting & developing high potential young people who have the ability to create value through their work and have a willingness to create leading organizations. AIESEC is committed to develop leaders of tomorrow in this part of the world", says Nadine Wiegert, president of AIESEC United Arab Emirates.

During the last 3 years AIESEC has brought to Dubai 47 international interns and has sent out nearly 25 local graduates on international internships through their international talent exchange program. Through this program, AIESEC provides organizations with access to diverse international talent and perspectives coming from the widespread network of AIESEC. The interns have proved to be an excellent solution for covering both long-term and short-term human resource needs according to the strategic needs of each organization.
