New consortium announced for 3rd mobile operator license in Egypt

The Egyptian Government is currently in the process of issuing a Request For Proposal in regard to the third mobile operator license in Egypt.

A new consortium consisting of the MTN Group Ltd, Raya, Golden Pyramids Plaza (GPP) and Stars Communications has been formed, to consider bidding for the third mobile operator license. Each of the consortium members brings to the consortium unique experience and capabilities.
