Hussein Lootah appointed as Deputy Director General of Dubai Municipality

Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Industry, has issued in his capacity as Chairman of Dubai Municipality a decree transferring Eng. Hussein Nasser Lootah, Assistant Director General of Dubai Municipality for Planning and Building Affairs, from his current post and appointing him as the new Deputy Director General of the municipality.

Mr. Lootah, a civil engineering graduate from a US University, began his career as an engineer with the federal Ministry of Electricity and Water where he worked for five years. In 1985, he joined Dubai Municipality as Assistant Head of Section, and was later promoted to the post of Director of the Drainage Department.

He was then appointed as Assistant Director General for Environment and Public Health Affairs, before being shifted to the post of the Assistant DG for Planning and Building Affairs. He also chaired several committees in the municipality including the Technical Committee, Strategic Plan Committee, e-Government Committee, Personnel Affairs Committee, and organizing committees of a number of conferences organised by the civic body.
