LG Electronics takes part in the five-day exhibition, organized by Jordan Computer Society (JCS), along with around 50 other local and international exhibitors, including government agencies such as the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (MoICT), which co-organized the event, and the Public Security Department.
Commenting on the participation, LG Electronics General Manager in Jordan T. Y. Lee said that customers and the business world expect to see a company like LG Electronics, which is the world's digital leader, taking part in an event as important as METS, which is the largest and most influential ICT exhibition in the country.
Besides, he added,
"LG Electronics sees itself as a partner and major player in the ICT sector in Jordan and a partner of organizations and concerned agencies like the MoICT and MCT. Accordingly, LG sought to support such an activity to enhance Jordan's status as an ITC hub in the region."
The 4500 mē-expo is divided into two main sections. The first hosts exhibition halls for latest solutions and products, in addition to auditoriums for lectures in which participating companies, public agencies and universities take part. The other section, meanwhile, features local exhibitors' retail items for sale to visiting individuals.
METS, Jordan's largest and most influential ICT show, is a business-to-business and business-to-customer event that presents a range of technology products and solutions. METS 2005, scheduled for December 6-10 in Amman, Jordan, with the cooperation of Int@j, marketing companies and in collaboration with the Ministry of ICT. METS 2005 will feature the main display categories of Business Processes, Communications, Digital Equipment & Systems, Banking & Finance, Public, Academic and Government Sector participation.
