Oracle and ACCPAC Announce Partnership for Growing Manufacturers in the Region
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, October 14 - 2001 at 14:06
- PRESS RELEASE
ACCPAC International, a division of Computer Associates and a worldwide leader in providing end-to-end e-business solutions, announced today a partnership with Oracle Middle East that brings a new flexibility to resellers servicing the Middle East's growing industries, particularly the manufacturing sector.
"Leading business solutions vendors like ACCPAC know that their customers are looking for a tight relationship between the solution vendors, their technology infrastructure providers and their local partners. This is why ACCPAC and Oracle have been working on integrating their relationships with the local channel" said Ayman Abouseif, Oracle's marketing director for Middle East and Africa. "This close partnership will translate into clear customer benefits in terms of speed of implementation and robustness of the joint solution."
"Our partnership with Oracle is in line with ACCPAC's global strategy of empowering our channel partners by giving them access to powerful solutions that meet the needs of their customers' businesses at each stage of their growth," commented Marc Van der Ven, ACCPAC regional manager. ACCPAC launched its Dubai-based Middle East operations earlier this year with a commitment to its Middle East customers and channel partners that it would help them move to a new era of business information systems: open, scalable, flexible and affordable.
Its active support for resellers and developers that want to integrate best of breed solutions resulted in the company growing its distribution channel by more than 50% in the first half of the year.
"Businesses are looking for e-business solutions that deliver not only business functionality but also reliability, security and scalability, that is why ACCPAC and Oracle have joined hands to introduce this bundled solution to the local market" explained Abouseif, "the local availability of skills and customer support infrastructure for the ACCPAC/Oracle bundle will open new horizons for the manufacturing sector in the region"
Oracle launched its Oracle9i Database and 9iApplication Server earlier this summer delivering the most powerful databases on the market for information storage and manipulation - particularly when used to power e-business applications. Clustered to run as a single database on a group of clustered servers, Oracle9i Real Application Cluster (RAC) brings phenomenal scalability and reliability to Middle East business, as they can add processing power as they need it, without disturbing the system.
ACCPAC unveiled in September the industry's first comprehensive and fully scalable business management solution for the region's mid-market enterprises with its release of ACCPAC Advantage Series 5.0. "The newly launched Advantage Series 5.0, running on Oracle's clustered servers, delivers significant cost of ownership reductions for the Middle East mid-market organizations by fully exploiting scalability and e-business technologies," commented Abouseif.
"We are confident that our partnership with Oracle brings killer technology to the region's growing businesses enabling and supporting their growth," ended Van der Ven.
