DIP appoints globally-renowned DTZ as leasing agent for Dubai Towers - Doha

The world's newest and fastest growing global real estate development and investment firm - Dubai International Properties, member of Dubai Holding has appointed the internationally-renowned firm of DTZ to be the leasing agent for its ambitious project in Qatar, Dubai Towers - Doha.

"We needed a leasing agent for Dubai Towers - Doha that was top quality. One that is recognised for its services and one that has a global reach and is acknowledged as the best in the field," said Farhan Faraidooni, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai International Properties.

"We are developing our landmark project in Doha as something that will stand out as an icon along the skyline of the Qatari capital. It will be an architectural masterpiece that would be acclaimed the world over," pointed out Faraidooni.

"It was a perfect match of project and leasing agent. Together, we are sure to create history in the real estate and property sector of Qatar," Faraidooni added.

Killian O'Higgins, Managing Director of DTZ Europe, Middle East and Africa, thanked Dubai International Properties for the trust placed in the abilities of DTZ.

He said DTZ has already begun to approach high-profile potential tenants. DTZ will also record and respond to enquiries for Dubai Towers - Doha; seek to negotiate with any interested party regarding lease terms and endeavour to secure best terms; assist and confirm on site measurements; enter data relating to enquiries onto a database provided and run by DIP and prepare leases and negotiate all issues relating to the lease until it is signed but with the exception of normal management issues.

DTZ is a leading global real estate services company providing a full range of services on a local, regional and international level to investors, occupiers and owners across all sectors of the real estate market. The company has over 9,000 staff operating from 40 different countries worldwide. The Group has announced the opening of its branch in Qatar, the DTZ Qatar which has received good response from investors. DTZ has established its presence in the Gulf since 1975. The company also has branches in KSA and Bahrain.

The Dubai Towers - Doha will be an iconic addition to the skyline of Qatar's capital rising up to 80-storeys. It will offer high-end retail, state-of-the-art offices, a five-star hotel; shopping mall as well as top quality furnished and unfurnished apartments. Covering a total of 2.5 million square feet, the development is due for completion in 2008.
