The MoU was signed between Ayesh Al Barghouti, Director, Employment and Skills Development Center, Tanmia and Paul Chung, Chairman and CEO of Modern Technology International & ARGi at Tanmia's headquarters in Dubai. Through similar agreements, Tanmia has successfully employed 1845 UAE national jobseekers and trained 1220 job applicants during the year.

"We are committed to providing the best employment avenues for UAE Nationals in diverse sectors. By partnering with a technology company like Modern Technology International, we will be able to secure the highest level of training to unemployed UAE Nationals and enhance their chances of working in the country's growing technology sector," said Al Barghouti. "This MoU provides a further boost to the Emiratisation drive in the UAE and is part of our continuous effort to form strategic alliances with public and private sector companies and promote employment of young Nationals."

MTI is an international company answering the regulatory and servicing needs in the telecom environment providing the turnkey solutions for manpower and project management for global operators and vendors alike.

"We are delighted to be working with Tanmia in this joint programme to support the country's Emiratisation drive. "Through this agreement, we hope to expose UAE job seekers to the country's growing industrial and technology sectors. As a private sector company, we are glad to team up with the government in generating employment for UAE Nationals, and thus contribute to the country's economic development and social progress," said Paul Chung.

The MoU is valid for the forthcoming year and allows Tanmia to liaise with Modern Technology International to identify job requirements, match the existing job openings with the skills of registered jobseekers and forward names of suitable candidates for these jobs.

The agreement also allows Tanmia to work with the company in developing training programmes to impart required skills and competencies among selected candidates, select appropriate training providers and co-invest in the training of selected candidates wherever required. Tanmia will monitor training programmes and provide the mechanism for post-employment follow-up of job seekers, under the terms of the MoU.

On its part, Modern Technology International will provide Tanmia with details of job openings, select 200 of the agency's nominees for three-month training courses and placement, help Tanmia identify gaps in skills and competencies while designing appropriate training programmes, invest in training of job seekers and provide post-employment feedback to the agency.
