SWISS closes out 2005 on regional high note
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, December 26 - 2005 at 14:07
- PRESS RELEASE
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) hosted its annual management meeting in Dubai recently, rounding out what has been a very successful year for the airline in the region. Regional Managers flew in from Oman, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to review performance, discuss targets, marketing plans and business strategies for 2006.
"The year 2005 has witnessed a radical revamp in the operations and network of Switzerland's national carrier, which has seen the fleet trimmed and non-profitable routes discontinued. Over the next 18 months the airline is seeking to further downsize its European regional fleet, in its aim to return to profitability and offer a competitive basis for growth," added Rodel.
The airline offers one of the earliest arrival times from the Middle East into Zurich, its operational hub, and convenient connections to business centres and key holiday destinations throughout Europe and further abroad.
"This year held a great deal of challenges and promises. However, we will continue to seek new areas for cooperation both in Europe and in the Middle East, where our focus will continue to be our passengers, and on providing them with unparalleled service, convenient connections through our hub in Zurich and in-flight offerings tailored to their needs," concluded Rodel.
