The shows, to be held concurrently at Expo Centre Sharjah from May 2-4, 2006, are the region's first focused trade events for doors, windows, walls, roofing and cladding products, related equipment, accessories and machinery.

'Front 2006 is the region's first exclusively focused trade show for the fenestration and exterior facade industry,' said Mr. Fasahat Ali Khan, Acting Director General, Expo Centre Sharjah.

'The fact that both Front 2006 and the Roof and Cladding Middle East exhibitions are being held concurrently at the same venue at a time when the regional construction industry is experiencing massive boom, assumes special significance. The events are an excellent opportunity for global companies engaged in fenestration and facade as well as the roof and cladding industry to tap and curve out a share of the lucrative Middle East market from a single platform,' he added.

It is estimated that in the UAE alone over USD $ 81 billion will be invested in property development in the next 10 years.

'The shows feature very exclusive and focused profiles and this is what makes them different from other trade events that cater to the construction industry in the region,' said Mr. Khan.

Among the products that will be showcased at Front 2006 are windows, doors (wooden, glass, aluminium, steel, automatic, crane doors etc..), grills, gates, shutters and sun protection, sun blinds and awnings, louver blinds, interior roller blinds, glass and glass products, paints and chemicals, door operating devices, roller blinds, drives and drive technology, raw materials, components and machinery, accessories, working and business safety, wall coverings, locks and access control among others.

Given that Front 2006 is the only show of its kind in the region, it is bound to attract architects, engineers, consultants, planners, interior designers, importers, contractors, traders, property managers, investors and government officials from across the Middle East and also from parts of North Africa and the Indian sub-continent.

A major highlight of Front 2006 will be the product presentation seminars that will be held on the sidelines. The seminars will be an ideal opportunity for introducing new products to the regional construction industry. It will also address several important issues concerning the transformation that Middle East's façade and fenestration industry is currently experiencing.

Front made its debut in 2004. The event was an instant success due to its exclusivity and focused profile. The 2004 edition attracted over 2,700 trade visitors from across the Middle East.

Front is organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) while the Roof and Cladding Middle East exhibition is a joint venture of Expo Centre Sharjah and Unitech with the support of SCCI.
