Nabeel Taqi, Assistant Undersecretary Airport Services, Ministry of Transportation, cut the ribbon to officially open the new check-in counters for Emirates First and Business Class passengers, and for Gold and Silver card members of the airline's frequent flyer programme, Skywards.
Strategically located just 10 metres from the Immigration counters, the new Emirates check-in area provides a quick and easy access to duty free shops and Emirates lounge, besides facilitating a superior and faster check-in.
Porters will also be on hand to assist passengers with their luggage, right from the airport curbside and all the way up to check-in.
Emirates Area Manager Bahrain, Mohammed Ahmed Bin Ghannam said: 'Emirates' well-established reputation for superior customer service, both in the air and on the ground, can now also be experienced at our new, dedicated check-in area. Well-trained Emirates staff will do their utmost to ensure that our valued passengers are served quickly and efficiently.'
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials from Bahrain International Airport including Mohammed Thamir Alkaabi, Airport Director; Helal Alsadoon, Chief of Operations; and Khalid Hayat, Head Cargo and Commercial Facilities.
Emirates launches dedicated check-in for premium passengers
Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline recognized globally for its unsurpassed levels of customer service, launched a new dedicated check-in area for its premium passengers at Bahrain International Airport.
