UK travellers spend up

UK tourists and business travellers were the biggest spenders in the UAE in June, July and August 2005, outlaying $74m according to a statistics by Visa International. Saudi visitors spent $41m, and $39m was spent by US travellers. Total spend for summer increased by 40% to $342m compared to the same period in 2004.
