Etisalat/ eCompany's Internet subscribers can log on to the Internet with their dial up username and password. Al Shamil users must use the username / password of their associated dial up account. Users can get online while flying from any seat in the cabin. Customers will be billed in the regular post paid monthly dial up account bill without having to use credit cards or pay cash onboard the flight.
The service offers wireless Internet on WiFi enabled laptops or mobile phones onboard at broadband speeds comparable to that at their homes and offices. Users can check and send e-mails ,check the latest news, stock quotes, or sports updates. Business users can also access company e-mail, files, and business applications securely from the air, instead of waiting until they reach their destination.
A popular use of the service is to learn more about their destinations, planning the itinerary, or even make reservations online. In short, the service allows users to make their in-flight time more productive.

Lufthansa that operates a large number of airlines in the region has been equipped with the Connexion by Boeing service. The facility will be available more widely as more airlines sign up for the service.
