'Customer Delight' the focus of new Budget training

'Customer Delight' is the enticing name given to a new style of rudimentary training being provided by Tanmia Consulting and Training for the staff of Budget Car Rental, Bahrain. Tanmia, a Bahrain-based company, will be providing the training for over 30 drivers and customer service staff, helping them to expand their abilities within the company and develop their own potential.

Tanmia's training style utilises unusual interactive techniques which will help employees assess how their daily input and attitude can have an effect on customer retention and or, ultimately, the success of the business. At the same time, the sessions will encourage the members of the team to be introspective and set goals and standards for themselves to assist with their own future development.

Helga Smit, Senior Consultant with Tanmia Consulting & Training is a professionally experienced trainer from South Africa where she has worked extensively with companies who needed to integrate and develop a variety of different skills within the workforce.

She has worked at all levels from management to new recruits and has some unusual methods in store for helping the Budget Car Rental employees learn. She said: "I believe that it is really important for employees to be interactive in a learning situation. It does not suit everyone to learn from books and manuals, so I like to bring physical props to support the items I am teaching, in this way, learning has more impact and is remembered. Scenarios also become more real and employees can see the effect of their work."
