More than 120 attendees, including Minister of Education Khalid Touqan, media representatives, community members, business partners, customers, and consumers, enjoyed Coca-Cola's grand event.
His Excellency, Mr. Touqan expressed his appreciation of Coca Cola's sense of responsibility.
'Coca Cola's community development initiatives in 2005 were not only a clear sign of the company's continuous effort to act as a citizen of Jordan, but also to prove the importance of the role that the private sector plays in human development.'
Lubna Frozely, Public Affairs and Communications Manager Coca Cola - Middle East, expressed her gratitude to the Jordanian community and to every person who worked hard in 2005 to bring Coca-Cola's community initiatives to life.
'Our constant aim is to inspire moments of optimism - through our brands and actions and to make a difference everywhere we engage; each of you gathered tonight helped bring us closer to achieving our aim; and for that, we are very grateful.'
During the gathering, Coca-Cola's key initiatives in 2005 were highlighted, including the well-known 'school.com' project, which provides public schools with computers and IT training, and 'Hospital Libraries', provides hospitalized with libraries so that patients, especially children, can be educated and entertained.
Company representatives confirmed that Coca-Cola will continue to extend such support in the future, and encouraged the audience to continue bringing these initiatives to life, for the sake of making a difference.
