Jumbo launches 'Electronics Festival' this DSF

Jumbo Electronics, UAE's leading consumer electronics retail giant, has unveiled its mega campaign and a series of promotional offers that will give shoppers a chance to win during the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2006.
Speaking at the press conference held at Park Hyatt earlier today, Mr. Arvind Nair, Chief Operating Officer, Jumbo Electronics, said: "Our area of focus this year is to make things simpler for consumers. DSF is that time of the year when people like to get out of their homes to experience and buy new products. Due to the pace of product innovation, there is a plethora of products flooding the market, making it a challenge for them on what to buy and where to buy. The 'Electronics Festival' is aimed at making Jumbo the electronics destination of Dubai during DSF, as always."
Mr. Saeed Al Nabouda, Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Shopping Festival added, "As pioneers of shopping excellence and innovation during the Festival, Jumbo's promotions will go hand-in-hand with the DSF motto of providing an overall rewarding shopping experience. We are confident that Jumbo's promotions during DSF 2006 will receive wide response from residents and visitors."
Mr. Nair added: "On this occasion, I extend our sincere thanks to the DSF authorities and the Dubai Government and Jumbo's experience with DSF has been consistently rewarding as the event continues to grow in stature as the biggest shopping extravaganza in the Middle East. The Festival's credibility has ensured that our principals take the event as a major period within their annual marketing calendars. This year, as in the past, our principals have unveiled new products, attractive savings and outstanding bundle offers to choose from."
As part of the Festival promotion, shoppers with purchases of any products worth AED 250 from any of Jumbo's 27 leading retail outlets across the Emirates will be entered into a raffle draw with a chance to win one Kilo of Gold every week. As always, Jumbo's principal divisions have launched individual promotions and offers to complement the overall promotion from Jumbo.
The Sony Division has unveiled the 'Win More with Sony' campaign, with outstanding chances to win on purchases. Customers buying Sony products worth AED 250, are entitled to a voucher for their chance to win a state-of-the art 40-inch Bravia Television; 10 DVD Recorders; 20 Cyber-shot cameras and five Vaio Pockets.
The Sony Division will also showcase attractive offers on their new products including the
- V Series of the BRAVIA LCD TV which features superior resolution for the digital and flat panel era;
- The latest MP3 Network Walkman - NW Aura with 20GB and 16GB options and exciting colors;
- The 10 Mega Pixel CyberShot DSCR1 for today's aspiring professional and the slick and slim T9 Digital Camera.
The final draw to announce the winners for the Sony promotion will be held on February 5, 2006.
The main highlights for the Telecom Division promotions will be offers on Nokia Car Kits, in line with Jumbo's CSR efforts to promote safe driving in Dubai, Scratch and Win Holiday Packages to the value of AED 400,000, vouchers worth AED 500 on purchases of select mobile phones and excellent bundle offers on mobile phones, ranging from Photo Printers, Bluetooth Multi Media Viewers, Accessories and more.
The IT Division also has a vast array of bundled offers in store including a free Wifi Router and free facility to get an Al-Shamil connection with every laptop purchase.
There is also a product unveiling for the LG Intel Napa Series, the world's first dual-core processor; an outstanding product which delivers better performance, power and efficiency.
DSF visitors will have the convenience of buying Jumbo merchandise at the new Mall of the Emirates flagship store as well as the Global Village. Jumbo has also tied up with Citibank, to be the chosen electronics retailer this DSF. All Citibank card holders shopping at Jumbo have a chance to win electronics items. Additionally, all Visa card holders can also shop at Jumbo and win prizes.
In addition to all this, customers can benefit from the unique Jumbo Advantage including international delivery, free insurance, home delivery and installation and an extended warranty scheme.
