A huge exhibitors' participation in Carpet oasis 2005

During the meeting, committee has demonstrated the ongoing arrangements for organizing the oasis in the frame of the participation of Dubai customs which sponsors this event, which is part of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2006.

The attendants have discussed all the details related to the method of participation and the construction of the stalls and the way of importing the carpets to be exhibited to the audience. This discussion aims to assure that these arrangements comply with the aims and standards to be implemented.

Discussion has gone through the way stalls are distributed on 5000 squared meter in Dubai World Trade center in the hall No.1. Attendants have confirmed the reservation of 95% of the space.

Salah Al Naqi, deputy head of the Carpet Oasis committee and the head of media department in Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, said,

"Like the last ten editions of the oasis, the committee starts a comprehensive evaluation, with the traders and participating companies, to reach a common vision. This vision would help developing the experiences which would serve customers in the first place. These customers are increasing year after year due to the high quality and diversity of carpets which meet their tastes and budgets and the size and world fame of Dubai Shopping festival. On the other hand, we must work to assist the traders specialized in this kind of handmade commodities which are characterized by high quality and precise workmanship. In addition the fact that these carpets are essential factor in the interior design of the small and big houses, palaces, villas and hotels".

"During the few coming days we would finish all the arrangements of this event which would begin on the 4th of January 2005 and end on the 14th of January. So the whole unreserved space which composes 20% of the total space would be all reserved due to the large participation applications we have received till now", Al Naqi added.

Al Naqi has emphasized that carpet oasis 2006 would be unique this year due to the diversity of participants. In addition to the traditional participation of local traders and companies, the circle of attraction became larger so it includes companies from China, India and Turkey. These companies would have a powerful presence in this event, the thing that would enhance competency in all aspects related to quality, price and other aspects.
