Press Conference to announce International Aerobatics Show (Al Ain 2006)

The Organizing Committee of the International Aerobatics Show 'Al Ain 2006', to be hosted by Al Ain city from January 11 to 15, 2006 will hold a Press conference to announce final preparations for the event.

The conference will be held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi at 11 am, Monday, January 2, 2006.

'Al Ain 2006' is being organized under the patronage of General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

In addition to details of the event, including participating teams and calendar of events, the Organizing Committee will announce the names of the 19 sponsors of the show.

H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of 'Al Ain 2006', will attend the conference.

Staff Maj-Gen Pilot Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Bu Ainain, Air Force and Air Defense Commander and Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee will also attend.

Also present will be members of the Organizing Committee, sponsors, press attachés at Arab and foreign embassies in the country, and a large number of local and international media representatives.

During 'Al Ain 2006', the sky of Al Ain will be lined up with scores of jets of all types from around the world, transforming the city into a huge airbase. Thousands of visitors, expected to flock to the city, are promised breathtaking demonstrations by the world's most famous pilots during the show, to be hosted once again by Al Ain city for five consecutive days, during Eid Al Adha holidays.

The show is co-organized by the UAE Air Force and Air Defense.

For three consecutive years, the annual Al Ain Aerobatics Show attracted thousands of visitors from the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and from around the world. The show boosted domestic family tourism, including nationals and expatriates, who flocked to Al Ain city to enjoy the spectacular aerial demonstrations.
