Jumeirah's Lowndes, $14m makeover

The Lowndes Hotel in London, owned by Dubai-based hospitality group Jumeirah will be closed for a $14m refurbishment. The hotel will get a new floor dedicated to suites, a remodeled lobby, new restaurant, and conference and banqueting facilities. The hotel will re-open in October 2006 as Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel.
