  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, January 02 - 2006 at 14:53
  • PRESS RELEASE

Jadaf Dubai, the oldest ship repair and industrial marine yard in the Arabian Gulf region, has signed an agreement with Dubai Police to avail the services of Dubai Police's innovative public opinion centre.

Jadaf Dubai is the first organization to adopt the services of the public opinion centre.

The public opinion centre of Dubai Police is a specialist center for opinion surveys. The surveys adopt a scientific approach approved by international specialist institutions, with the aim to measure the level of employee and client satisfaction. The agreement to avail the centre's services will allow Jadaf Dubai to make appropriate decisions based on the analytical results of public opinion surveys.

"Dubai Police is pleased at Jadaf's decision to make use of the services of the public opinion centre and commend them on this progressive move. We invite other government departments in Dubai to follow Jadaf Dubai's example and thus benefit from vital customer feedback that facilitates better decision-making," said Dr. Jamal Mohammed Khalifa Al Mari, Deputy, Commandant General of Dubai Police.

Hamed Mattar bin Lahej, General Manager, Jadaf Dubai, said, "We thank Dubai Police for agreeing to share their expertise and experience with us in conducting scientifically-based opinion surveys. Dubai Police has long been the most well-organized and progressive government department in Dubai and has a proven track record in introducing innovative services."

"The decision to avail Dubai Police's public opinion centre services was taken in the interests of transparency and customer participation in the decision-making process at Jadaf Dubai. Through comprehensive surveys, we will be able to develop a fuller understanding of employee and customer requirements and their opinion on the facilities and services we provide. Such an approach will boost our capability to take decisions that are more informed and inclusive, and in tune with customer needs,"

bin Lahej added.

Jadaf Dubai specializes in docking and undocking of ships, and is considered one of the busiest docking yards in the world, with facilities that include two docks. More than 270 companies operate from within Jadaf Dubai, offering comprehensive and professional docking and ancillary services to the shipping industry.
