Korn/Ferry, which has operated in the GCC market for nearly 30 years, first established a dedicated regional headquarter office in Dubai in September 2004 to keep pace with the region's rapid economic liberalization and increased commitment to executive talent. The firm has now moved into larger offices within the Dubai Airport Free Zone to meet increased client demand and to house its expanded staff, which now totals 12 professionals representing nine nationalities.

"This region is experiencing unprecedented growth and consequently, sourcing and developing talent is becoming an increasingly important issue for local companies,"

said Metin Mitchell, managing director of Korn/Ferry Middle East. "We see tremendous opportunities throughout the region, particularly in the Kuwait and UAE markets."

In 2005, Korn/Ferry received global attention by regaining its position as the world's largest executive search firm, according to the industry's two leading trade organizations, Hunt-Scanlon Advisors and Kennedy Information, Inc.'s Executive Recruiter News (ERN). Korn/Ferry Middle East caters to the regional market by providing Arabic human capital solutions when possible, leveraging the firm's executive search methodology and calling upon its extensive global network and industry-specific expertise.

Korn/Ferry has targeted telecommunications, financial services, merchant family groups, education, airlines and oil and gas as key sectors in the region, and will continue to respond to the growing talent needs of these sectors through its expanded team in Dubai.

"Korn/Ferry, Middle East is dedicated to helping GCC companies keep up with the rapid pace of growth and development through the identification and recruitment of top executive talent," added Mitchell. "My team and I are thrilled to deepen our commitment to the region by expanding our operations."
