Air Arabia announces 1st new destination for 2006 with flights to Iran

Air Arabia LLC, the first and only low-fares airline in the Middle East and North Africa, demonstrates strong growth and expansion plans with the announcement of the 1st new destination for this year with 3 flights a week to the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The new service offers Iranians in the UAE and Iran more options to see friends and family more often especially with the upcoming Navroz. Iranian students in UAE can also take the opportunity to go home more often. Flights between Tehran and Sharjah afford convenient connections for onward travel to other GCC countries and Egypt. This service will especially benefit business travellers looking for convenient and affordable flights between Iran and the GCC.

Air Arabia offers a convenient visit visa service for all passengers arriving in Sharjah as well as 96 hour transit visas for passengers connecting to other destinations via Sharjah. For more information customers can contact Air Arabia sales centres in Tehran, Sharjah or Dubai.

The addition of Tehran takes Air Arabia's destinations to twenty six with more to come. Current destinations include Aleppo and Damascus (Syria); Alexandria, Assiut, Luxor and Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt); Aqaba and Amman (Jordan); Astana and Almaty (Kazakhstan); Bahrain; Beirut (Lebanon); Colombo (Sri Lanka); Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh (KSA), Doha (Qatar); Khartoum (Sudan); Kuwait; Moscow (Russia); Mumbai and Nagpur (India); Muscat (Oman); Sana'a (Yemen) and Sharjah (UAE).

Flights to Tehran will start 3 times weekly from 1st February 2006, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday departing Sharjah at 10:50 to arrive in Tehran at 12:20 and departing Tehran at 13:05 to arrive in Sharjah at 15:45 local time.
