Etisalat announces sponsorship of Al Awafi Festival in Ras Al Khaimah for the second year

The Corporation's sponsorship of the festival reflects its commitment to supporting activities that engage society and help drive the national economy.

The Al Awafi Festival, in its third year, is considered a pioneering initiative in Ras Al Khaimah and has been established as one of the defining tourist attractions in the Emirate's calendar. The festival has effectively utilised the available resources and contributed to marking Ras Al Khaimah as a tourist hub.

Al Awafi Festival this year will include several activities such as horse riding, heritage and entertainment activities, and sports competitions among many other activities which will entertain all residents and visitors.

Humaid Sultan Al Suwaidi, General Manager of Etisalat- Ras Al Khaimah region, said:

'Etisalat has always been at the forefront in contributing towards social initiatives in the country. This reflects our commitment to meeting our social responsibility to the people of the country.'

Al Suwaidi added: 'Etisalat sponsors many activities including the Dubai Shopping Festival. We are sponsors for Dubai Summer Surprises, the Ramadan Festival in Sharjah, the Ajman Shopping Festival, the Emirates Civilization Marathon and the Flower Show and Festival in Al Ain, in addition to many other sport, tourism and technology-related events and functions.'

Humaid Al Suwaidi praised the contribution and dedication of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah towards ensuring the success of the Al Awafi festival, which has in turn raised the profile of the emirate both within and outside the UAE.
