"The closing date for abstracts is 31 January 2006 - we had a fantastic response to our 2005 call with over 250 abstracts being submitted, we are optimistic that just as many people, or more, will be eager to present in Abu Dhabi in December 2006."
The Gastech website explains that abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and gives a helpful example of both an abstract and of a biography. Abstracts can be submitted either via the website or sent to Conference Department, Gastech 2006, dmg world media, Queensway House, 2 Queensway, Redhill, Surrey, RH1 1QS, UK.
"Not only do we ask prospective speakers to highlight which session their paper best suits, but we also ask them to tell us the type of audience - e.g. CEOs, finance directors, commercial managers, traders, or technical managers - that would be interested in their presentation," adds Lynne Evans. "This information greatly helps the members of our Programme Advisory Committee in planning the conference programme."
Exhibition filling up

Notable exhibitors for 2006 already include national pavilions for France and Spain; production companies including the ADNOC group, BG Group, ConocoPhillips; Dolphin Energy; ExxonMobil; Gazprom; Iberdrola; Nigeria LNG; RasGas; Shell; and Total; major shipbuilding and transportation companies and a wide range of other contractors and suppliers from around the world.
