"This is another excellent achievement for the CEC," said Professor Ziad Saghir, Acting President and Vice President for Academic Affairs at ALHOSN University. "The CEC's mission is to deliver high-value, flexible learning programs to our students, corporate clients and non-students alike, and by adding this key Microsoft qualification, we are creating the opportunity for them to gain essential skills to grow their potential. We welcome this partnership with Microsoft, and look forward to developing more opportunities in future."
Microsoft and ALHOSN University have also signed an Academic Agreement, which will provide the university with a wide range of Microsoft applications that will be used to create a number of different solutions for students and faculty across the whole university. The agreement covers licensing for Microsoft products such as Windows, Exchange, Sharepoint Portal Server, Project, SQL Server, and Visio that will provide a robust and secure IT infrastructure to the university as well as offering superior desktop productivity and advanced applications specifically for education, including a student and faculty portal, and collaboration and learning environments.
The university is also using Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains, to run all of its financial and business processes. The ERP solution provides the administration staff and management at the university with up-to-date and accurate insight into processes, enabling them to make effective and timely decisions.
"ALHOSN University CEC is very pleased to be able to add the MCSE to the qualifications that we offer. The CEC aims to provide the highest standards of continued education in vital areas such as language, professional development and information technology, and Microsoft qualifications are an important part of this. We hope to be able to expand the number of Microsoft courses that we offer to include more diverse and higher level certifications, to give our students even greater opportunities for learning," said Ghassan Dahduli, Continuing Education Center Manager
"The university has a strong partnership with Microsoft, which is reflected not just in the courses that they offer but in the technology that they use to deliver these courses and to manage their processes," said Yasser Zeineldin, EPG Director, Microsoft Gulf.
"We are very pleased that ALHOSN CEC has realized the value of Microsoft certifications to their students, and we look forward to working with them to help them deliver more innovative educations and qualifications to learners."
