eCompany activates Anti Spam Plus protection for Al Shamil subscribers free of charge

eCompany research in 2005 has shown that customers who registered for this free service received 55% of their incoming emails as spam.

The eCompany Anti Spam Plus service utilizes the world renowned Symantec Brightmail Anti Spam solution which stops spam attacks in real time at the internet gateway level. Without compromising accuracy, it leverages over 20 different filtering technologies, including spam signatures, heuristics and many other proprietary methods to protect subscribers. Comprehensive threat protection also helps consolidate email threat management and monitoring via optional virus scanning and cleaning.

The system automatically filters subscriber emails and stores messages it recognises as spam in a special web based 'Spam' folder which is emptied automatically every 7 days by eCompany. This makes it easier for subscribers to review their spam emails and either move or delete them according to their preferences.
