German cruise liner arrives at Dubai Cruise Terminal

The cruise ship docked for three days from January 5 to 7 and carried on board 285 passengers and 110 crew members.
Out of the total passengers, as many as 173 disembarked and another 168 passengers embarked on the ship's next leg of journey to Abu Dhabi. The ship's previous port of call was Muscat in Oman.
Most of the passengers on board the ship were of German and European nationalities.
A welcome ceremony was arranged for the passengers at the cruise terminal with local schoolchildren offering flowers and men dressed in the local costumes serving Gahwa or Arabic coffee.
The Arabic band Aiyala performed for the visitors while the Dubai Police band stood in attendance.
A traditional heritage and handicraft display was also organised for the benefit of the visitors.
Inchcape Shipping Services were the agent for the cruise ship while Orient Tours were the tour operators.
