Pinctada Pearls to shine at Dubai Desert Classic

Dubai-based Pinctada Pearls will continue its association with the region's leading PGA European Tour golf tournament as official jewelers to the 2006 Dubai Desert Classic.
During the US$2.4 million, Dubai Aluminium (DUBAL)-sponsored Dubai Desert Classic that begins on February 2, Pinctada will showcase one of their most wanted pieces.
"Pearling enjoys a distinguished history in the Gulf," said Pinctada Managing Partner Susan Frost. "Pinctada proudly continues that tradition in modern Dubai and we are very pleased to launch Pinctada's special collection this year at the Dubai Desert Classic, as well as showcasing at the event an exceptional 'show stopper' necklace of rare and unusual South Sea Pearls set with a specially commissioned commemorative diamond clasp."
Besides DUBAL as the main sponsor of the Dubai Desert Classic, CNN International, Emaar, Dubai Waterfront by Nakheel, and Samsung as co-sponsors, other sponsors include: Emirates as official airline and Hole In One Sponsor; official caterer, hotel and challenge match sponsor Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa; Official Bank National Bank of Dubai; official courtesy car BMW; and event newspaper Gulf News.
